I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
